Saranda Accommodation: Where We Stayed for a Relaxing Family Trip
Looking for Saranda accommodation that works well for families? Where…
Looking for Saranda accommodation that works well for families? Where you stay can shape an entire trip, and for us, that was especially true in Saranda. We booked an apartment called Konomi Sea View through Airbnb, and it ended up being one of the best decisions of the week.
The Apartment: Konomi Sea View

We had one bedroom with a large bed, plus a living room with two very comfortable sofa beds for the kids. The kitchen was well equipped, which made cooking most of our meals easy, and there was a full bathroom as well.
The real highlight was the view: our balcony faced the sea, directly in front of Santa Quaranta Beach Club . It’s about 20 minutes on foot from the Saranda promenade, close enough for an evening walk, far enough to avoid the busiest part of town, and about 10 minutes on foot from El Primero Beach in the other direction, our favorite public beach of the trip.

The apartment itself was almost brand new, spotless, and nicely decorated, which made it feel genuinely comfortable rather than just functional.
A few practical details that made daily life easier:
- Two air conditioning units, one in the bedroom and one in the living room
- A washing machine, genuinely useful for a week-long family stay
- An elevator (though not yet in service while we were there, since the building was brand new)
- A private parking spot in the underground garage
- Wifi
At around €180 a night during peak season, it wasn’t the cheapest Saranda accommodation option, but between the view, the space, and the kitchen, it gave us everything we needed to settle in and actually relax.
A Host Who Made a Difference
Our host was very welcoming and quick to respond whenever we had a question. It was him who first pointed us toward the public beaches nearby, a tip that shaped how we spent most of our beach days during the trip. That kind of local, practical advice is easy to underestimate when booking a place, but it made a real difference for us.
Why the Location Worked for Us

Staying a bit outside the busiest part of Saranda, with its own parking and a beach club right in front, gave us a calmer base for the week. We weren’t dealing with the crowds of the city center every day, but we were still close enough to everything: beaches, restaurants, and the promenade when we wanted it.
The private parking also mattered more than we expected. As covered in our Saranda travel tips, parking in Saranda gets difficult in peak season, so having a guaranteed spot removed one more thing to think about every day.
What to Look for in Saranda Accommodation
- A kitchen, even a basic one. It made cooking at home simple and kept our food budget reasonable.
- A sea view and a balcony. Watching the sunset from home became one of our favorite parts of the trip.
- Private parking, especially in August, when street parking in Saranda is genuinely hard to find.
- A responsive host who knows the area. Local recommendations, like the public beaches we ended up loving, are often worth more than anything listed in a guidebook.
- Enough space to spread out. The two sofa beds in the living room meant the kids had their own space, separate from ours.
Konomi Sea View checked all of these boxes for us, and it’s a large part of why the week felt relaxed rather than rushed.
